Washburn Lyon Electric Guitar

I just picked this guitar up for FREE. It popped up in an online ad and it was only about a minutes drive away from me. It is an older Washburn Lyon electric guitar that needs a bit of work but it's not in bad shape. It's a cheap guitar but worth messing with since it was FREE!

UPDATE: Guitar is sold!

Mid Century Welby Sunburst Wall Clock

Stopped at a local junk shop to do some digging and found this great German sunburst clock made by Welby. The teak wood is nice but some of the gold/brass finish is worn and getting surface rust. Other than that it is in good shape and still keeps time!

Old Cloth & Metal Folding Camp Seat

Found this little guy at a thrift shop today. Did a bit of research and found images from a vintage camping supplier from the 50's-60's that sold them. The only marking I can find on it is "Japan". It's small, light, strong and in excellent condition.
UPDATE: Seat is SOLD!!!

Winter Jam VW Show Swapping

Here is a picture from this past weekend at the Winter Jam 2010 Volkswagen Show in Daytona. My bus (blue in the middle) and two friends buses, Jason (red bus) and Pete (Mystery Machine), selling parts and vintage goodies in the swap meet area. Great weather and had a lot of fun the entire weekend plus got rid of some stuff. Pic courtesy of RiceKooker.

Archer Dual Auto Antenna

Found this neat automobile antenna today. It is NOS in the original box along with the receipt from a Georgia Radio Shack dated 1984 for $31.15!!! Can mount on the rain gutter or window edge and I think it makes your car look like it has insect antenna.
UPDATE: Antennas are SOLD!!!

1966 Green Hornet Decals

I stopped at a trash pile today that had a bunch of old wooden shop cabinets and shelves out and noticed some cool decals that caught my eye. I snagged the one shelving unit that had the old Green Hornet decal stickers on it and brought it home so I could remove the panel (16 in all). They are very sun-bleached and faded/torn so I clear coated it to save the decals. Not sure what to do with it but it is cool and vintage.

UPDATE: Sold!

Vintage Curry Travel Trunk with Decals

Got this at a yard sale two weeks ago. Classic old Curry travel trunk that has been around the world. It's about 3 feet wide and covered in vintage paper decals from hotels, customs offices, railways and shipping companies from South Africa, Sudan, Hawaii, etc. Very original condition with all its bumps and bruises. It even has the original key to lock it.

UPDATE: Trunk is sold!

1980's Magnavox D8443 Boom Box

Found this 'ol skool boom box at the flea market this morning. It a big heavy sucka, Magnavox model D8443 with 5 speakers, 3 amplifiers and a single tape player. It's in pretty good condition and works but could use a little tune up for some of the knobs. Still a great old collectable stereo from the '80's.

Neat old Hobart Model #410 heavy duty meat slicer I picked up the other week. Housing is all aluminum, the stainless blade is marked Jan 28 1947. Heavy beast of a slicer and it still works!
