Plastic Shell Chair and 1972 Decorating Encyclopedia Set
Today's yard sale finds. Older shell-style chair made from a rubbery plastic and the complete 18 volume set from 1972 of the Practical Encyclopedia of Good Decorating and Home Improvement. Found at 2 different locations. The chair needed new rubber feet which I got at the hardware store on my way home. The books are in great shape, slightly dusty with a hint of vintage cigarettes.

Vintage Hide-Out Rewind #1
SOME FINDS FROM YEARS PAST. I'll try to post up old finds from time to time to keep things interesting.
1977 VW Bus found at a garage sale (sold), my vintage skateboard collection that I sold off, some old metal lunchboxes, and an early 1960's Ampeg Reverberocket amplifier I found in a dumpster (sold).

Another Mid Century Chair & 1950's Thermos
On my way to the flea market this morning I came across a pair of teak mid century chairs in the same trash pile as I found the wicker chair on Thursday. They must be cleaning out the back porch or something. I only kept the one chair since the other was pretty beat and not worth fixing. I plan on giving it the treatment this week and it should come out nice. I also found a 1950's ribbed aluminum Thermos.

The Wicker Chair Is Finished!
The wicker chair I found on Thursday is finished. It didn't need much but I did have to fix a broken weld on the legs and glue a few areas on the seat. I painted the legs gloss black, added new rubber feet and mixed up some varnish clear coat which I sprayed over the wicker. It came out nice and looks good with my other chair.

Old Black Powder Rifle - Toy or Real?
Got this for only a buck at a yard sale this morning. It is missing some pieces but seems to be pretty old. It has an octagon shaped steel barrel, wood body and a small round opening storage compartment. There are a few markings on the metal parts like "Made in Spain" and the number 15965 stamped in the wood and barrel. Is it a toy or real? Time to do some research.
UPDATE: After some research/discussions today I've come to believe this rifle is an old toy of some sort. Not heavy or durable enough to be real. Value??? Let me know what you think.

Metal Thermos Cooler & Coleman Stove Parts
Stopped at an estate sale this morning after not finding many yard sales and picked up a few things. Got an older metal cooler made by Thermos which is kinda rusty but I like the way it looks. Also got 2 NOS generators for the old Coleman camp stoves. I'm keeping the Coleman parts but the cooler will be for sale at the next car show I go to.
